Nursing and Plans of Care
The Deputy Matron / Head of Care is supported by a team of qualified nurses who are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. There is a Registered Nurse on duty 24 hours a day at Chilton House. The nurse is supported by a team of nursing assistants and carers many of whom have NVQ qualifications. The nursing assistants and carers provide daily support for our long stay residents with advice from the Registered Nurse when required. We will discuss with you plans for you to maintain optimum independence. Should you need help with personal care such as help to walk to the lavatory and assistance with bathing, showering and getting dressed this can be provided. We can also access the help of specialist nurses in the community to complement our in-house knowledge and skill. Our aim is to make you feel safe in the knowledge that this is indeed the perfect environment in which to make your home and that you retain choice for the way you live your life.
