Chilton House offers permanent residential care for those aged 60 years and above. Accommodation is provided in a range of rooms over three floors. All rooms are en-suite, have direct dial telephone and some have their own sitting room. Residents who make their home with us are encouraged to bring their own furniture and personal possessions which helps to promote a more private and individual environment. Pets are welcome although remain the responsibility of the owner.
Nursing and Plans of Care
A Registered Nurse supported by a team of nursing assistants and qualified carers provide daily support for our long stay residents. We will discuss with you plans for you to maintain optimum independence. Should you need help with personal care such as help to walk to the lavatory and assistance with bathing, showering and getting dressed this can be provided. Our aim is to make you feel safe in the knowledge that this is the perfect environment in which to make your home and that you retain freedom of choice for the way you live.
We retain the services of a dedicated local GP who makes regular visits to the house. There is also emergency GP cover for out of hours service.
At least one physiotherapist is on duty each weekday and exercise classes are held on Monday and Wednesday every week. We are can also provide the services of a visiting chiropodist, beautician, and reflexologist and have access to a range of alternative therapies. Our hairdresser visits twice weekly, working out of our own hair salon.
Taster stay
For anyone considering permanent residency we recommend a “taster” stay of at least two weeks during which time residents can decide whether they would like to make their home at Chilton House.
Fees
Room fees are from £900.00 per week depending on the size and situation of the room and the level of care required.
