So much to do
Life at Chilton House should be as busy as you want it and as relaxed as you would like it.
We endeavour to please all with a varied and comprehensive programme of activities and we are very happy to accommodate particular requests where possible.
With 4 acres of lawns, terraces and flowerbeds, combined with extensive views over our farmland and lake, there is much to admire outside the house and on sunny warm days there are regularly congregations of residents joining together on the terrace for chat and a cup of tea.
Whenever the weather allows we assist with walks through the gardens and are grateful to residents for their tips and advice in our gardening club.
Within the house there are many and varied activities that take place on a frequent basis including everything from exercise classes to lectures, film club and themed world cuisine dinner parties.
On a Friday each week we have a drinks party to which all residents are invited. Residents can choose to dine in the newly refurbished dining room in which we also welcome friends and family, or if they prefer, in their own room.
Music is an important element of our diary and residents and guests alike enjoy playing our Steinway piano in the Front hall. We regularly host visiting musicians and choices vary from musicals to classical to the Beatles and much more.
Our in house hairdressing service is always busy, as is our chiropodist and beauty therapist and we are just introducing a computer tuition service to enable residents to make use of the internet. Wifi is available throughout the house and although we have a fixed desktop I the drawing room, residents are welcome to bring their own computers.
Outside the house, we host weekly shopping trips, pub lunches, visits to gardens, theatre visits and many other trips in our own company vehicle.
We welcome any ideas and requests and are always interested in expanding the programme whenever possible.
